Hi Everyone!

Here is a practice page where you can try out all the features of Squarespace.

This page is not linked to anything on the website and is not visible to any of the website viewers.

Basic Instructions

  • Hover over the page and click on "Edit".
  • Hover over the page again and you will see a black, sideways raindrop shape. 
  • Click on it and a box will pop up with the various options for what you can add to the page.
  • This menu is divided into 8 sections with different options for each section.
  • The only tools you will need to update the website are the following:
    • Basic
      • Text
      • Image
      • Video
    • Gallery
      • Slideshow
    • More
      • Spacer
      • Line

How to Insert Text

  • Select "Image" from the options menu.
  • After clicking it, a box will appear allowing you to add an image.
  • Click on that "Write here..." area and fill in with your text.
  • To format the text, a black bar will appear above and has the options for boldingitalicizingadding a link, changing the alignment of the text, creating headings, lists, bullet points, indentations, pasting as plain text, removing format and deleting.

HOW TO INSERT AN IMAGE

  • Select "Image" from the options menu.
  • After clicking it, a box will appear allowing you to add an image.
  • Click on the "Add Image" from the light gray rectangle that appears OR click the upward facing arrow from the box that appears on the right.
  • After clicking one of the options above, you can select an image from your files. 
  • You also have the option to add a caption, stretch the image, or make it the image into a lightbox.

HOW TO INSERT A video

  • Select "Video" from the options menu.
  • Insert the URL of the video onto the Video URL on the top of the box that opens up on the right
