CHANCEL CHOIR

  • Rehearsals: Thursdays
  • Time: 7:30 PM
  • Location: Choir Room

Our Chancel Choir members seek to grow in their personal walks with God as well as their ministry through music to the congregation, the church, the community, and the world. With an eye to a balance of musical selections, the choir has led worship through the singing of classical, gospel, contemporary, and other styles of music. The choir not only provides the musical basis for our Sunday morning worship experience, but also presents many other musical programs throughout the year for the enjoyment of the congregation and the surrounding community.

LITURGICAL DANCE

MINI MOVERS - JUNIOR MOVERS - MIRACLE MOVERS

Worshipping God in dance has a rich Biblical tradition. There are many references in scripture regarding the use of dance as a form of joyous celebration and meaningful worship. Our focus is to enhance the worship service in the same way that combined voices in our chancel choir enhances our hymns, or the addition of various musical instruments enhances the choir. Dance offers an enormous range of forms and expressions in worship.

Aldersgate's Theatre Arts (ATA) Program was founded in 2012 by Allison Horner, Coordinator of Creative Ministries. Our goal is to bring theatre, drama and dance to our Aldersgate family, and to serve as an outreach to our community.  We strive to do theatre in a way that instills our cast members with a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work, and provides a way for our church family and extended community to touch the lives of others by expressing themselves creatively.  We seek to present quality works that are hopeful and transformational, created for actors, dancers and vocalists, both young and old.
